Paper Talk: Arsenal, United told Grealish cost; Butland move

Date published: Saturday 2nd June 2018 10:01

Manchester United, Arsenal and Leicester have learn what it would cost to prise Jack Grealish from Aston Villa, while Chelsea know the man they want to succeed Thibaut Courtois, according to Saturday’s newspapers.

VILLA SLAP HUGE PRICE ON IN-DEMAND GREALISH

Aston Villa have slapped a £40m price tag on midfield ace Jack Grealish, according to reports in the Daily Star.

The talented 22-year-old is being linked with a number of Premier League clubs after Villa’s failure to secure promotion back to the top flight was ended by a 1-0 defeat to Fulham in the play-off final.

Manchester United want Grealish as a potential long-term replacement for Juan Mata, while Leicester are also rumoured to be keen as they ponder life after Riyad Mahrez, should the Algerian move on this summer. Sky Sports also claims Arsenal are monitoring developments around the homegrown Villa man.

Grealish has two years left on his contract, though the club remains under pressure to balance the books after their heavy investment failed to secure a return to the Premier League.
