Deadly striker has two-word message for Klopp as Liverpool deal takes step up
RB Salzburg striker Patson Daka has an exciting stance on sealing a transfer to Liverpool this summer amid a blow for West Ham, reports claim.
The 22-year-old has become one of the hottest attackers on in Europe after a standout season in Austria. The Zambia international netted 34 goals in 42 games, including 27 in 28 league games. He showed his prowess to Liverpool before then, though, scoring against the Reds in a pre-season clash.
However, it is his fantastic campaign which has seen clubs across the continent, including Liverpool, monitor his progress.
Leicester have also joined the transfer race, with West Ham further credited with interest in Daka.
According to Football Insider, though, Daka has told the Hammers that he would reject their proposal. Indeed, he wants a move to a ‘higher-level’ club playing Champions League football.
Meanwhile, a separate report from Football Insider says that the striker would be “very keen” on moving to Liverpool.
The Reds have also taken steps towards a transfer by making an enquiry. That has led Salzburg to put a £17million valuation on Daka’s services.
In any case, Salzburg expect their star man to leave after his standout performances.
Liverpool are looking into Daka’s transfer as they aim to bolster their attacking ranks.
