Man Utd, Tottenham target Dybala tests positive for coronavirus

Paulo Dybala has become the third Juventus player to test positive for the Coronavirus, following Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi.

Italy is currently the worst-affected country in Europe by the virus, with Serie A being one of the first leagues to suspend its action before the Premier League followed suit.

Centre-back Rugani, frequently linked with the likes of Arsenal in transfer gossip, was the first player in the Italian top flight to reveal he had contracted Covid-19.

Midfielder Matuidi was the next Juventus player to catch the virus, with the squad told to self-isolate.

Dybala has now announced he too has the virus, as does his girlfriend, via a post on Instagram.

The Argentine forward wrote: “Hi everyone, I just wanted to inform you that we have received the results for the Covid-19 test and both Oriana and I have tested positive.

“Luckily we are in perfect conditions. Thanks for your messages.”

Dybala had been linked with a move to the Premier League last summer, deciding against both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

He has since, however, made some intriguing remarks about the league, suggesting he could be willing to move in the future once normality is restored.
