Pellegrini dismisses West Ham links to Southampton, Cardiff target

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has quickly fired down rumours of a potential January move for Roma striker Edin Dzeko.
Reports in Italy claim Pellegrini could be reunited with Dzeko at the London Stadium having previously managed him at Manchester City.
The link comes about after Dzeko admitted he missed life in the Premier League.
He was subsequently linked with a January switch to Southampton, Cardiff, as well as the Hammers.
But Pellegrini was quick to shoot down the reports, saying: “You can talk about five, six or seven players that are linked with us. We must not talk about one player.
“I know him [Dzeko] well but we are not thinking about that at the moment.”
Dzeko is reportedly in talks over a new deal at Roma, having scored 78 goals in 148 appearances for the Serie A giants since his move from City on an initial loan back in summer 2015.
