Man Utd’s Andreas Pereira labels Liverpool pair ‘arrogant’

Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira has picked out a pair of Liverpool players as the two players he dislikes the most.

The Brazilian midfielder, who has started 18 Premier League games this season, was asked by a Brazilian Youtube channel which players he thought were arrogant and he picked out James Milner and Virgil van Dijk.

The Metro quote the Brazilian midfielder as telling the Desimpedidos YouTube channel: “I don’t really like that guy, Milner.

“And to tell you the truth, I don’t like that guy, the defender, Van Dijk. [He is] Marrento [cocky/arrogant], man. Even the way he plays is kind of arrogant.”

The 24-year-old was also asked who he considered to be the good guys in the Premier League and picked out two of his fellow countryman.

“David Luiz and Willian are the most ‘good’ guys,” added Pereira.

Pereira to be moved on?

Pereira was handed a new contract at Old Trafford last year, with his current deal now running until 2023, although whether he will remain at the club until then is yet to be seen.

He made all of his league starts before the coronavirus lockdown and reports have suggested that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will offload the player this summer.

Last month the Daily Mirror claimed Solskjaer had been told that he would have to sell to make room for Donny van de Beek, with Belgian-born Brazilian Pereira set for the axe.

With Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba fit again and Bruno Fernandes and Fred also regulars, Pereira’s opportunities will become extremely limited.

That news will certainly alert the likes of Newcastle, Everton and West Ham, who were all looking at the midfielder before he signed his new Old Trafford deal.
