Jurgen Klopp: Always felt a calling for the Liverpool job

He said: “For me, it’s easy, because I like this club. Maybe there was a big step in my own thinking when I was here (pre-season match with Dortmund in 2014) and saw all these things in the dressing room, on the pitch, and I saw the Kop for the first time. But I had no list – if they call or if they call – I would see what I feel.”

Klopp has also admitted his two sons have an affinity with Liverpool having travelled over to see a game in 2012.

“When FSG for LFC called me, it was a good moment, for me and my family,” he added. “My two sons are crazy about football, they watched a game here when Nuri Sahin was here, against Manchester United (September 2012), they know everything about Liverpool.

“It’s a good feeling for me, I don’t care which other club will fit too, it’s not important.”
