Harry Kane; Son Heung-Min TEAMtalk

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has said that he would like to see the Red Devils sign Tottenham winger Son Heung-min.

Despite many clubs expected to scale back their spending in the upcoming transfer window, United’s ambitious spending plans will reportedly remain unchanged.

Indeed, Solskjaer admitted last month that his side’s wealth could put them in a position to “exploit” the market, with several high-profile names – who have sizeable exit fees to match – being linked.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish have both been heavily linked, with one report claiming that Aston Villa are unwilling to lower their valuation of Grealish even if they are relegated from the Premier League.

However, responding to a question on Twitter, Schmeichel simply replied with the words “Son from Spurs” when asked about a realistic signing he would like United to make.

Son, who moved to Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, has become one of the Premier League’s most exciting wingers and has scored 16 goals while assisting nine others this term.

The South Korean international recently returned to London after taking part in mandatory military service in his home country.

United have previously been linked with Son’s teammate Harry Kane, who admitted earlier this season that he could leave Spurs if the club’s progress does not match his own ambitions.

In other news, Tottenham are reportedly ready to battle Arsenal for the signing of Real Madrid defender Nacho.

The 30-year-old has been part of the Bernabeu set-up since the age of 11 and made his senior debut in 2011.
