Player Ratings: Hernandez & Green shine despite Leeds loss

Huddersfield Town: Keeping up momentum
Pablo Hernandez and Rob Green shone for Leeds United in a 2-1 loss to Huddersfield, while Aaron Mooy and Izzy Brown had great games for the Terriers.
Huddersfield Town
Danny Ward: Made a couple of decent saves. 6
Tommy Smith: Put in a lovely low cross for Izzy Brown’s opener. Did his job at the back. 8
Jonathan Hogg: Excellent positioning to keep Leeds at bay. 7
Elias Kachunga: Livewire. Played a number of dangerous balls into the box, including one that flashed across the face of goal. 8
Aaron Mooy: Offered good energy in the middle of the park. 8
Chris Lowe: Got up and down the wing all game. 7
Rajiv Van La Parra: Got into a number of good positions but wasted chances to put quality balls into the box. 6
Collin Quaner: Missed a couple of fantastic chances with one blocked excellently by Rob Green. 7
Christopher Schindler: Neat and tidy at the back. 7
Michael Hefele: Solid performance at the back. Headed narrowly wide in the first half but made amends with a goal at the death. 8
Kasey Palmer: Went off injured before the half hour mark. Not too much to note. 6

Izzy Brown (replaced Palmer 25′) Arrived late in the box to put away a good finish in the first-half. Energetic performance. 8
Joe Lolley (replaced Van La Parra 64′) Injected more energy into Huddersfield. 7
Nakhi Wells (replaced Quaner 64′) Didn’t get any chances. Booked. 6
Leeds United
Rob Green String of good first-half saves with a particularly impressive one from Collin Quaner. 8
Luke Ayling: Did his job at the back but didn’t offer enough going forward. 6
Kyle Bartley: Lucky to clear just over his own crossbar in the second half. Leeds’ best defender and has noticeably forged a great understanding with Jansson. But, played Hefele onside for the goal. 7
Pontus Jansson: His usual composed, tough-tackling self. However, one slack bit of defending saw his clearance hit a striker and go just over the bar. 7
Gaetano Berardi: A wholehearted display from the Swiss. Put in several good tackles. 6
Liam Bridcutt: Wanted to make it a proper derby! Flying into tackles all over the pitch and broke up play well. 7
Ronaldo Vieira: Tried to penetrate the Huddersfield defence on a number of occasions with some classy balls. Always available and rarely lost possession. 8
Stuart Dallas: Offered lots of threat out wide for Leeds. His good balls into the box weren’t converted. 6
Pablo Hernandez: Won fouls in good positions with his lively display. Great ball into the box for Wood to tap home. 8
Souleymane Doukara: Floated in and out of the game. Largely ineffective. 6
Chris Wood: Scored an easy tap in but has a wonderful knack of being in the right place at the right time. 7
