Mauricio Pochettino refused to comment on the future of Danny Rose after Tottenham reached the final of the Audi Cup with a 1-0 win over Real Madrid.
Kane scored the only goal of the game midway through the first half in Munich when he latched onto Marcelo’s mis-placed back pass and slotted past Keylor Navas in the Real goal.
Further chances came through Kane, Son Heung-Min and Dele Alli, while youngster Troy Parrott hit the post late on as Spurs fully deserved to book their place in Wednesday’s final.
After the game, Pochettino said: “I think I am happy as we’ve played three tough games. It’s a very unique pre-season for us.
“We are doing well but the most important is the feeling we are getting from all these training sessions and the games. We need to improve and hope the next few weeks we can compete at our best.
“We are looking to be better every single day. We want to start the season strong and out objective is to start in a good dynamic.”
Pochettino was also asked about the future of Danny Rose after the left-back made a return to the starting line-up, having been left out of the tour of Singapore and China to try and resolve his future.
He added: “I told you in Sinagpore and China. I was very clear with the situation of the squad. I don’t know what I need to say as I was very clear in the past.”
