Personally, I would like to keep hold of Lallana or, at the very least, let the 12 month extension option be exercised. I thought he was amazing yesterday and he was the one that Klopp wanted to single out first and praise for his performance. He was a really key member of the squad before all the injury problems came along and, in the interim, the team (and shape) has evolved to the extent that he no longer finds himself as an automatic starter. It must be very difficult to be able to produce your best when you’re continually in/out for well over 2 years now; but yesterday showed us what he is still capable of. Davinci has never rated him (‘he just twirls around in circles’); which, in my book, defines him as a very useful inclusion to the squad.

Red Herring

I would offer him another year but I doubt it is up to the club or Klopp… Lallana wants more football and he will have achieved everything he has wished for here during his time except the league…

If him and Lovren leave I would like another senior player in, I like youth but there needs to be a balance.

Did we sign another 21 year old striker today?

L.Jovic,Isco and £50m from Real Madrid for Pogba, should be doable. Then invest that money on D.v.d.Beek.

I think now for the positions we need. We should target some top continental players. We have a few British players in the team, but we need that magic now. This is something the new signings have to provide.

I think Cantwell from Norwich would be a good buy to be honest. He’s done extremely well in a poor team and could add that ‘magic’ we need in midfield. He’ll also chip in with a few goals which our midfield is in dire need of at the moment.

Dani Olmo? Young, technical, quick and 34 million. Let’s some young exciting talent in ffs.

I think he’s pretty much said he wants to go back to Barcelona. However, Barca have said they won’t be moving for him before the summer and he said he wants to move to put himself in the picture for the Spanish Euro squad which he won’t be if he continues to play in Croatia. If we move now, this window, we might get him but if we wait until the summer, we won’t.

I have been looking at the current block of 5, we’re through Wolves at home and Sheffield utd. Now Spurs, Man Utd and Wolves away.

That’s a pretty tough block but we’re 2 wins through so far.

The block for me started at palace and ended with sheff utd mak. That’s how I judge it

Now it starts again with the next block.

My point really is, I see some people trying to predict how many wins we need etc. There’s still so much of the season left

I even heard Steven watnock say if we wrap it up early klopp will play the kids. That’s just silly talk

We haven’t won the league in 30 years. It’s not going to be as easy as some predict. There are loads of points available

I’m looking at getting through the next two months with still a good lead as these next two months are when we usually have a blip.

Great phone video of Jones’ goal. Watch Mane haul ass.

Hope the link works.

One of the most enjoyable win this season. Totally unexpected. When i saw evertons lineup.i thought we were gonna lose

They had their chances in the first half and they could have been easily 2 or 3 up but in the second half we improved a lot and we deserved the win since we were better.

That video was priceless! LOLOLOL

Mané is the man

Great video clip Rob thanks mate.

Nice FA Cup draw
Can play a lot of those youngsters again plus other lads will be back from injury.

Mane’s best run!!

Well we didn’t stuff them but got the job done. Have to say impressed with Sokratis. Pepe did alright but sometimes I think he tries to dribble his way out of trouble. Be good to see Leeds back in the prem. good side I thought.

Leeds were fantastic first half and we were back to our worse, tho the defending was better, many more blocked shots, tho we gave the ball away time and time again, second half was much better and it was good to hear Arteta shout at the team at half time and make some changes, xhaka was a walking foul and lucky not get cards but did spray some nice long passes and run his socks off, he just isnt good enough unfortunatley, hope he is off to Germany this window….Sok was MoM for me and holding did well after injury, all in all im happy becuase i can see changes even if its slow we can see the changes already

Lampard is said to be willing to offload up to 6 players in this window, the likes of Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri, Ross Barkley, Pedro, Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi. Not too sure how true the article is but it is players I feel we no longer need. Keep Alonso and 1 striker?

Agreed, keep Alonso and 1 striker! Alonso will be useful for 3-4-3, that’s a sure thing. And I think we cannot let both Giroud and Michy leave, nly 1 of them will leave if we get a replacement. So far it’s proven difficult in January. We seem to have an offer 34m rejected by Lyon for Dembélé. And Werner does not want to move before Euro.

We are linked with Gabriel Barbosa of Inter, to be honest I have big doubt on him. He was not successful with Inter, in Europe. He has only been successful in Brazil. And he is lightweight for a striker. Michy already is not big enough for a Premiership striker, let alone Barbosa.

I think those who will probably leave: one of Giroud or Michy, Pedro, one of Emerson or Alonso. And probably Drinkwater who came back to the club after his loan. That’s all. And I reckon we’ll try to bring one striker, whoever that is.

Top 4 will be an over achievement. Same as UCL quarter final, over achievement. I think we’ll lose against Bayern. I will be really happy if we finish in the top 4, it’s a big ask for this young manager and this young squad.

TO be fair there is potential in the team, there are some good players but they’re not motivated to perform as they’re on massive wages regardless of performance related bonuses. The only answer is to get rid of the players and get new young players in. Obviously the Glazers/Woodward need to go, even if they sold up the new owners would have to gut the team anyway. I’d take a few more seasons of pain in order to get this shitshow back on track.
Of the current squad, I’d only deem the following players safe, not indispensible, but safe:
De Gea
Wan Bissaka
Fred (is improving)
Martial (is improving but needs to maintain it).
That’s not a top 4 side by any stretch of the imagination and it’s very young. We do need to buy one or two older players to come in and take control of the changing room, to impose a sense of professionalism and professional pride.
I’m not fully convinced by OGS either to be honest, I’d like to be but I’m not anymore. I don’t think Allegri is the man either, too defensive although his pedigree is good. Poch maybe, I’d be more inclined to look to Nagelsmann or someone instead.

killy-Apart from the youngsters, all the rest of the squad should be up for sale,so:

The rest can & should be made available for sale now as it might be too late soon, for a few of em.We are royally fooked with Maguire,so maybe Maguire back for that Turkish lad @ Leicester???

That’s another block of games gone and we’ve don’t amazingly well.
We’ve qualified top of our CL group, won all our league games, won our FA Cup game and are well clear at the top of the table with a game in hand while our competitors have fallen away.
This particular run of games has put us in a fantastic position however we now have another tough run of games in quick succession.

Away to Spurs 11/01
Home to Utd 19/01
Away to Wolves 23/01
Away to Bristol/Shrewsbury 25/01
Away to West Ham 29/01
Home to Southampton 01/02

First thing that sticks out is the amount of away game, next thing is the space between games for the first 3 games then we have 4 games in 16 days. This will all have to managed especially as players come back from injury.
Plenty of time to get ready for the Spurs game and then another week until the Utd game is perfect for us. Four days until the Wolves game is still fine and we should be having a coupla players back from injury by then if not before.
The FA Cup game away presents an opportunity for our fringe and youth players to get a game again but also those coming back from injury. Great opportunity to rest the likes of Mane, Salah etc etc.
Onto West Ham and then Southampton sheer most of our main men will have had a break for the Fa cup previously.

I can honestly see us going through this period unbeaten yet again and probably taking maximum points also.

Fahbino n Shaq back in training this week. Not sure how long Matip n Lovren will be out for but we need one of them back by the mid of Jan.

Got to love oles support of J lingz it shows he understands players and what it means to play for united
