Prem duo ‘preparing £4m approach for Fener outcast Van Persie’
Robin van Persie is being linked with a return to the Premier League after Fenerbahce put him up for sale for a fee of around £4million.
The former Manchester United and Arsenal striker wants a return to England after just a season in Turkey and the likes of West Ham and Crystal Palace are understood to be weighing up a move.
His representatives have offered him around to numerous clubs but the Dutch star is believed to want to move his family back to London after being told he can leave the club.
Fenerbahce president Azil Yildirim said earlier this week: “Van Persie? We’re waiting for buyers, if he wants to be sold.”
Van Persie joined the Turkish league runners-up for £4m and it is thought he would cost around the same this summer.
West Ham and Palace are both looking for a striker after missing out on Marseille’s Michy Batshuayi.
Chelsea were considering a surprise move for him in January when looking for another forward but they went for Alexandre Pato instead.
