Premier League Manager and Player of Month nominees announced

The nominees for the Premier League Manager and Player of the Month awards have been revealed for December.

Liverpool lead the way in terms of total nominees, with Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino two of eight in contention for the player’s award.

Jurgen Klopp is up against a tough field in the manager’s group, with Merseyside rival Sam Allardyce and Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson also up for the award.

Pep Guardiola is bidding to make it a record four monthly award wins in a row, with Man City only dropping two points throughout the whole of the month after a draw at Palace.

Chelsea’s Antonio Conte and Tottenham chief Mauricio Pochettino are also in the running.

Pochettino is joined by Harry Kane in terms of the player’s award, with Jesse Lingard, Marko Arnautovic, Nicolas Otamendi, Riyad Mahrez and Marcos Alonso completing the eight nominees.
