Louis van Gaal: Manager under pressure from some fans

It’s been a turbulent time for some of the leading Premier League managers. Jose Mourinho has left his beloved Chelsea but says he won’t be taking a break anytime soon. This means he may be returning to the Premier League sooner than most expected. This news is sure to worry managers who are already under pressure as they face the new year.

Louis van Gaal is the latest Manchester United manager to feel the heat since Sir Alex Ferguson resigned. Various names including Mourinho and Pep Guardiola have been mentioned as his successors, even though he has no intention of leaving Old Trafford yet.

Binary Uno to sponsor a top team

Sponsorship is always an important part of the financial side of football. It understood that a leading binary options trading broker called Binary Uno could have its branding placed on the jerseys of one of the top teams for the 2016-2017 season. Binary Uno is currently in serious negotiations with a leading team for the season. It’s not known which team this will be yet, but this will be one of the first trading brokers to move into premiership sponsorship.

Pep Guardiola to join Manchester City

There have been rumours in the past about Pep Guardiola moving to Manchester at some stage. However, these rumours were always associated with Manchester United. Alex Ferguson has never hidden his admiration for the Spanish manager.

However, it’s the blue side of Manchester that are rumoured to have made a move for Guardiola by offering him a record-breaking contract. If it’s true and Pep Guardiola becomes the manager of Manchester City, he would receive a wage that surpasses the highest paid players at the club. Nothing is set in stone yet and Manuel Pellegrini is still at the helm of City. If Manchester City do get their man this would really shake things up in Manchester.

Roman Abramovich may have made a move for Jorge Sampaoli

No clear permanent successor has emerged for Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge. After a scramble to bring Pep Guardiola to London, it now looks likely that Chelsea will have to look elsewhere for a new manager.

However, it’s rumoured that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich may already have made contact with the Chile boss, Jorge Sampaoli. During the summer the 55-year old guided Chile to the Copa America and received a manager of the year nomination for his efforts. Other club teams including Real Madrid are thought to have an interest in the Chile manager, so he may be persuaded to join the Premiership or go to Spain in 2016.

Vardy may also move to Stamford Bridge

The sudden rise to stardom of Jamie Vardy has grabbed the attention of everyone in the Premier League, including Chelsea. He may be one of their next signings as they attempt to turn their season around in 2016. Manchester City are also thought to be interested, but it’s doubtful he’ll leave Leicester for less than £30 million.

A lot can happen in a few weeks in the Premiership. Some of the world’s top managers are currently out of a job, so 2016 looks set to be an interesting year as the race to win the Premiership title continues.
