Harry Kane: Tottenham striker fit to face Stoke City

Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane entered the record books on Sunday as Liverpool suffered an unwelcome first and Newcastle ended their derby woes.

Newcastle United 1-1 Sunderland

Aleksandar Mitrovic’s goal ended a run of four straight Premier League defeats for Newcastle, and a six-game losing run against Sunderland.

Jermain Defoe has scored on each of his last three league visits to St James’ Park.

Newcastle’s last three Premier League goals have come in the 80th minute or later.

The away side has never lost when scoring first in Premier League Tyne/Wear derbies (W6 D8).

Mitrovic has scored in three of his last four Premier League starts at St James’ Park.

Sunderland have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 17 games in all competitions.

John O’Shea has never lost in 21 Premier League games against Newcastle (W15 D6), a record for any player against another opponent in the competition.

Southampton 3-2 Liverpool

Liverpool lost a game in which they were leading by 2+ goals at half time for the first time in Premier League history, having previously won 112 of 115 games (D3).

There were just 2 minutes and 24 seconds between Southampton’s second and third goals.

Southampton have lost just one of their last seven Premier League games at St Mary’s (W5 D1 L1).

Adam Lallana has been directly involved in six goals in his last six PL apps (three goals, three assists).

Philippe Coutinho has scored more goals in all competitions for Liverpool in 2015/16 than in any other previous campaign (9).

Daniel Sturridge has scored four goals in his last three starts against Southampton in all competitions.

Simon Mignolet has saved three of the last five penalties that he has faced in the Premier League for Liverpool, after saving one of the previous five.

Sadio Mane, who missed the penalty beforehand, has scored in all three games against Liverpool this season (four goals).

Graziano Pelle has scored in consecutive Premier League games for the first time since September 2014. Pelle also provided two assists in a PL game for just the second time in his career.

Man City 0-1 Man United

Marcus Rashford became the youngest player to score in a Premier League Manchester derby (18y 141d).

Man City have lost as many home Premier League games this season, as they had in their previous four seasons combined (5).

The last time City failed to score in both games of a season against a single Premier League opponent was against Arsenal in 2010/11.

Man United had just five shots including blocked – their joint lowest number in a single league match this season (also vs Crystal Palace in October).

Meanwhile, Man City had 26 shots including blocked – their highest number without scoring in a Premier League match since 01/01/2012 (27 vs Sunderland).

Six of Man United’s last seven Premier League away goals have been scored by English players.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side have failed to score in three of their last four Premier League games.

Louis van Gaal’s side have kept more clean sheets than any other Premier League side this season (14).

Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 Bournemouth

Only against Wigan (12 goals in 2009/10) have Tottenham netted more goals against an opponent within a single Premier League season than versus Bournemouth in 2015/16 (8).

Tottenham have lost just one of their last 10 Premier League matches, winning eight (D1).

Bournemouth suffered their first Premier League away defeat in 2016.

Harry Kane became the fifth Englishman to score 20+ goals in consecutive Premier League seasons (Andrew Cole, Les Ferdinand, Robbie Fowler & Alan Shearer).

Kane is now this season’s Premier League top scorer with 21 goals; equalling his goal tally from 2014/15.

Dele Alli has assisted Harry Kane for seven Premier League goals this season, the most assists from one player to another in 2015/16.

Two of the three fastest goals scored in the Premier League this season have been in the Spurs/Bournemouth fixture (Ritchie 49s & Kane 43s).

Christian Eriksen has scored three goals in his last five Premier League appearances at White Hart Lane; as many as he netted in his previous 31 combined.
