Surprise winners at Liverpool, Man Utd, as Foden has highest PL win percentage

Phil Foden has been named as Premier League’s most influential player, while Adrian and Timothy Fosu-Mensah were shock winners for Liverpool and Manchester United, according to a survey.

Bettingexpert.com analysed every player that has played more than five Premier League matches for their current club to see who is each team’s most successful player.

And England star Foden came out on top with a victory rate of 85% from 47 games at Manchester City, just beating Liverpool’s Adrian (84.6%).

Two other City players made the top five – Aymeric Laporte (82%), Oleksandr Zinchenko (81%), while Liverpool’s no.1 keeper Alisson (80%) also recorded a terrific win ratio.

Adrian has a fractionally higher win percentage than Liverpool’s number one goalkeeper, Alisson, but it’s worth noting the former’s sample size is just 13, while Alisson has made 73 appearances.

They are clear of Naby Keita (79%), Fabinho (77%) and Andy Robertson (77%).

For Manchester United, Timothy Fosu-Mensah is the unlikely most influential player, with 11 wins from his 16 games, putting his win percentage of 69% above Odion Ighalo (67%), Eric Bailly (64%), Nemanja Matic (60%) and Bruno Fernandes (57%).

There is a surprise at Arsenal too. Mohamed Elneny has the highest win percentage at 61%, with Rob Holding in second place (59%).

Marcos Alonso has won 66% of his Premier League games for Chelsea, while Moussa Sissoko (62%) leads for Tottenham, Timothy Castagne (67%) tops the table for Leicester and James Rodriguez (57%) has the best record for Everton.
