PSG eye €200m Liverpool target as replacement for €300m-rated star

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to rival Liverpool for the signing of a €200m-rated forward, according to the latest reports.

Some feel that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has still not replaced Philippe Coutinho, who moved to Barcelona last January, but the latest report from Italy claims Klopp is still on the lookout for a No.10.

Liverpool almost signed Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir in the summer for around £50million, but that deal fell through at the final hurdle when apparently something in his medical was flagged up.

Rai Sport recently claimed that Klopp is ready to make a €200m move for Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne, who recently lauded Reds star Roberto Firmino.

However, Le 10 Sport are claiming that Insigne is PSG’s number one option to replace Neymar, should he leave the club.

The Ligue 1 champions are bracing themselves for bids for a prized asset, amid long-running links to Real Madrid, and are starting to draw up contingency plans.

Neymar reportedly completed a shock €222million move to the French capital in order to get out of Lionel Messi’s shadow and thrust himself into Ballon d’Or contention.

However the former Santos star – rated at around €300m – is apparently regretting that move due to the emergence of Kylian Mbappe, with a return to Barca being touted as a possible option.
