Tony Pulis is unsure whether Manchester City deserved their penalty but felt West Brom definitely should have had one in the 2-1 defeat.
Stephane Sessegnon put Albion ahead after just six minutes at the Etihad Stadium but was then adjudged to have fouled Aleksandar Kolarov in the area at the other end, with Sergio Aguero converting the resulting penalty.
Samir Nasri scored a second-half winner to leave the visitors on 40 points, but Pulis felt his side could have had more.
“I thought we played well today,” Pulis told BBC Sport. “We’ve got 40 points and the important thing is the lads turn up in all the games. We did that today and gave them a game and the disappointing thing is we’ve got nothing out of it.
“We’ve got to hit the target more – it’s been a fault of ours this season. And one or two decisions didn’t go our way.
“I’m not sure it’s a penalty for them. I think everyone in the stadium thought we should have had a penalty.”
