Jadon Sancho TEAMtalk

Jadon Sancho was branded “unplayable” by Owen Hargreaves on Tuesday night and he urged somebody to go and sign him quickly.

Former Manchester United midfielder Hargreaves said “get your cheque books out” after the England man’s latest display in the Champions League.

The 19-year-old was outstanding as Borussia Dortmund defeated Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 game.

Erling Haaland made all the headlines after his two goals, but Hargreaves labelled Sancho as “special” and compared him to “Neymar in his prime” as he helped put PSG to the sword.

Hargreaves told BT Sport: “That performance from Sancho was like Neymar in his prime. Off the cuff. He was unplayable.

“Get your cheque books out. Somebody go and sign that kid because he is special.”

Fellow pundit Jermaine Jenas also weighed in with praise for Sancho, who has scored 16 goals and made 17 assists in 31 games for Dortmund this season.

Jenas said: “He showed maturity beyond his years. He’s a spearhead for them with what he brings, his lack of respect for the opposition.

“You always felt like he was going to do something tonight. That tells me he thinks he is the best player on the pitch.”

Sancho, who is under contract until 2022, has been linked with Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Last week Sky in Germany claimed Sancho will leave the Bundesliga side during this summer’s transfer window.

The former Man City man has blossomed in Germany and is now a full England international with 11 caps and destined for a place in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 squad.

Sky in Germany reporter Jesco von Eichmann said: “He will leave Dortmund this summer, that’s for sure.

“It’s not clear to which club he will change. Manchester United is one of the big clubs that are interested, that I’ve heard.”
