More questions raised about future of Chelsea star, as two offers revealed

The agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has raised yet more questions about his client’s future by hinting that he has two offers on the table.

Jorginho has been one of Chelsea’s most important players of the season, leading to Frank Lampard giving him the role of vice-captain and looking to keep him off the transfer market.

Despite that, rumours continue to circulate about a return to Serie A for the Brazilian-born Italy international. Maurizio Sarri, the man who brought him to Chelsea from Napoli, is eager for another reunion with the midfielder at Juventus.

Thus far, Jorginho’s agent, Joao Santos, has been giving mixed messages about the chances of a transfer – denying any contact with Sarri, but also leaving the door open for a move.

And Santos has now taken things further by revealing that he has received two offers for the 28-year-old – but neither were from Juventus.

“If you ask me if Sarri likes Jorginho, I’d say ‘yes’ due to their history,” he told Radio Musica Television (via Football Italia).

“I can’t say anything about the transfer market as I’m not in touch with anyone right now.

“Jorginho still has three years left on his contract and is doing well at Chelsea, but if a big enough offer comes in then a deal could go through.

“In this sense, two top European clubs, not Italian ones, contacted me.”

Reports earlier this week indicated that Chelsea would be looking for around €35m to sell Jorginho, although Lampard has outlined him as a player he is desperate to keep.
