Paul Pogba: Continues to be centre of Raiola mindgames

Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has insisted that there is no agreement in place between Manchester United and Juventus for the transfer of the Frenchman.

Raiola has continued his reputation as being one of the most outspoken agents in the game with a tweet on Friday afternoon dismissing reports that Pogba will complete a move to the Red Devils shortly.

The agent – who also has Henrikh Mikhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his clients – insisted that all the speculation surrounding Pogba is a game between the press in Italy and the UK.

The 23-year-old left United in 2012 but is looking increasingly likely to return to Manchester for a second spell, after asserting himself as one of the hottest names in football during his time in Italy.

Last week, Raiola stated that the value of the transfer was not important, despite reports the fee could be a world record.

“I don’t care about record-breaking transfers,” he said.

“The newspapers say that Pogba could break the record but I have already broken records with Ibrahimovic and [Pavel] Nedved. I want what’s best for my players and so that also includes Pogba.

“Has Pogba asked to leave Juventus? I won’t answer anyone and I don’t talk about my business. Certain things I only discuss with my clients and they know how things really stand.”
