Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is delaying signing a new deal as he is seeking assurances over the future of the club, a report claims.
England star Rashford has just one year remaining on his current United contract and while the club are ready to reward him with a new £300,00-a-week deal until 2024.
That – as well as his huge £100m asking price – has seemingly not stopped the likes of Barca showing a firm interest in the 21-year-old.
Rashford effectively has two years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, but the England international is yet to agree terms over a fresh deal.
Now, a report from The Sun claims that Rashford wants to ‘assess United’s intent’ before making a decision on whether to pen a new deal.
Having amassed 13 goals and nine assists for his club during the 2018-19 campaign he is undoubtedly a big part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future plans, but he did seemingly hit out on social media about the season the club had.
“Next season we need to get back to how Manchester United play, for me that’s most important,” he said.
“We need to find that willingness and respond the right way.”
