Marcus Rashford Questions over what role he'll play for England

Marcus Rashford is set to be called into England’s senior squad after he was omitted from England’s Under-21 squad.

Rashford scored three times on his Under-21 debut earlier this month and he now looks certain to be called into interim boss Gareth Southgate’s senior squad for next month’s games against Malta and Slovenia.

Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish has been included in the 22-man Under-21 squad picked by interim boss Aidy Boothroyd for the games against Kazakhstan and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Tammy Abraham, the Chelsea striker on-loan at Bristol City, who was named Championship player of the month on Thursday, has also won his first call-up.

The 18-year-old has scored seven goals in nine games for the Robins and joins fellow youngsters Lewis Baker, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Nathaniel Chalobah.

Arsenal’s Rob Holding is also included in the squad, along with Leicester winger Demarai Gray.
