Cristiano Ronaldo: Limped away from Real training

Real Madrid are sweating on the fitness of Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the Champions League final against Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

Ronaldo has been struggling with injury over recent weeks and has failed to complete his last three training sessions as the weekend’s showpiece in Milan edges closer.

The 31-year-old was forced to limp out of Tuesday’s session in Madrid with a thigh problem after a collision involving Dani Carvajal and back-up goalkeeper Kiko Casilla.

Ronaldo headed to the dressing room after consulting with physios.

Ronaldo has been struggling for fitness since limping off against Villarreal last month with the star missing Real’s semi-final first leg at Manchester City. The forward was also withdrawn at half-time during Real’s final game of the season after netting both goals in the first-half of a 2-0 win.
