Ajax have named their price for a Tottenham and Barcelona target, while a new club has joined the race, reports claim.

A report from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo recently claimed that midfielder Frenkie de Jong would snub interest from both Spurs and PSG in order to seal a €50m move to Barcelona.

The 21-year-old was reportedly close to a move to the Nou Camp this summer, until the young star decided to stay put and continue his education with the Dutch giants.

Part of De Jong’s reasoning was Ajax’s qualification for the Champions League, where his side have been paired with Bayern Munich, AEK Athens and Benfica in Group E.

However, according to Real Bundesliga, Ajax are willing to sell De Jong next summer if any of his suitors meets their €75m asking price.

Meanwhile, El Desmarque state that Real Madrid have joined the race to sign the young midfielder, with club chiefs seeing him as an upgrade on the on-loan Chelsea man Matteo Kovacic.

Despite the interest from elite sides, his compatriot Georginio Wijnaldum suggested that De Jong would be better off staying and developing with Ajax, rather than moving on at such an early stage in his career.
