Luka Jovic’s €60million move from Eintracht Frankfurt to Real Madrid could be announced next week, according to AS.
The Spanish outlet report that Los Blancos have reached an agreement with the attacker and the German club, although Eintracht Frankfurt want to wait until the end of the current Bundesliga season before any deal is made public.
Frankfurt are still competing for a spot in the Champions League and need to win at champions Bayern Munich to give themselves a chance of competing with the best next season.
The official transfer window for clubs in Spain and Germany does not open until July 1 but Real will finalise a deal for the 21-year-old next week and “hope to be able to unveil him as a Madrid player as soon as the Liga season has drawn to a close”.
O Jogo also claimed the Benfica-owned hitman has also been interesting Manchester United.
Jovic is currently on loan at Frankfurt from Benfica, but the Bundesliga side will look to trigger an option to make the move a permanent one this summer.
Just what that fee is needs clarifying with suggestions it could be as little as €7million or as much as €22million, but they will likely sell him on for a huge profit with Zinedine Zidane set to make his first signing of the summer.
