Report clarifies Klopp’s stance as dynamic duo linked with Liverpool move

Liverpool are in fact not interested in pursuing deals for Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser or Borussia Monchengladbach defensive midfielder Denis Zakaria, according to reports.

Earlier claims suggested that the Reds had identified Cherries winger Fraser as a January addition in a swap deal for Harry Wilson, while the Daily Mirror have said that Zakaria is a target for the club.

According to the Liverpool Echo, however, such claims are inaccurate and Liverpool are not interested in either of the players.

The source says that boss Jurgen Klopp is more than happy with the attacking options at his disposal, while also being content with the number of midfielders that are currently fighting for a place in his side.

Furthermore, the Echo adds that Klopp is bracing himself for a busy couple of months upon the end of the current international break, with Liverpool set to be competing in the Carabao Cup, Premier League, FA Cup and Club World Cup between then and the end of January.

It is said that Liverpool’s January transfer window will be a quiet one as Klopp focuses on a push for the league title and progression in the Champions League.
