Report reveals how future of unhappy Arsenal star takes another twist

Lucas Torreira Sokratis TEAMtalk

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is becoming “more and more convinced” that he should leave the club in January, according to reports.

The Uruguayan international, who signed for the Gunners last summer, has struggled for game time under boss Unai Emery this term having played only 15 times in all competitions.

Previous reports have suggested that his lack of action has led him to consider forging a move away from North London in January, with AC Milan considered to be keen on the 23-year-old.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Torreira’s future at Arsenal has now taken another twist with the player becoming more convinced that seeking pastures new is the only way to improve his record of game time.

What’s more, the report states that Torreira – who is said to have held talks with Arsenal’s hierarchy about a package that could persuade him to stay at the club – is disgruntled after the latest round of talks.

It is claimed that the midfielder, whose contract expires in the summer of 2023, is ready to leave North London if a good enough proposal comes his way.
