Report reveals intruiging finer details of Mezut Ozil’s Arsenal exit plan

The MLS is Mesut Ozil’s preferred destination if he leaves Arsenal in the near future, but the German will bide his time before thinking seriously about departing North London, according to a report.

Gunners boss Unai Emery has only fielded Ozil for a total of 142 minutes so far this season, but when quizzed on the situation at his latest press conference, the Spaniard was quick to shut down the conversation.

Speculation heightened in recent weeks suggesting that Ozil was planning on leaving the club, however he has denied such claims and insisted that he intends to see out the remaining two years of his contract.

The latest report from Bleacher Report, however, says that a departure from Arsenal is still on Ozil’s mind but adds that the midfielder will not rush into making any decisions.

The report claims that Ozil wants to judge whether Emery will make it through a third season in charge, with the manager facing flack for his side’s mixed start to the campaign.

Should Ozil choose to leave, the MLS is said to be his favoured destination, but the 31-year-old will not go public on his frustrations according to the source.

An insider close to Ozil reportedly told Bleacher Report: “It is not as simple as just walking away because that is not what he wants to do. There has to be a chance that Emery is gone before he is.”
