Respected BBC journalist says PSG have eyes on Liverpool ace

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino is on the wanted list of Paris Saint-Germain, according to David Ornstein.

The respected BBC journalist has penned a transfer piece to coincide with the start of the transfer window and Ornstein says that the Ligue 1 champions want Brazil striker Firmino.

“Among the players Paris St-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has eyes on is Roberto Firmino, but it’s not something the Reds would even consider,” wrote Ornstein.

Firmino, as the the journalist says, is one of Jurgen Klopp’s darlings at Anfield and there will be very little chance of PSG getting their hands on the 27-year-old.

And Firmino has never spoken of any desire to leave Merseyside, therefore a summer departure for the former Hoffenheim man is very unlikely.

The forward, who hit 16 goals and added eight assists this season, only signed a new deal at Anfield in April 2018 and he is understood to have four years remaining on that deal.

PSG are also being linked with former Liverpool man Philippe Coutinho, who looks set to leave Barcelona this summer after a difficult 18 months in Catalonia.
