Charly Musonda: Returned from Real Betis

Chelsea winger Charly Musonda is poised to leave the club on loan once again with Roma reportedly interested in a short-term deal.

The young Belgian has recently returned from a relatively low-key loan spell at Real Betis where he struggled to break into the first team, but Roma are on the look-out for a new attacking option as they to try cover for Mohamed Salah’s upcoming participation in the African Cup of Nations.

Roma have been recently linked with ending Memphis Depay’s nightmare spell at Manchester United, but now Musonda has also emerged as a major target and would represent a more low-risk signing at this stage.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have ‘high hopes’ for the 20-year-old but want to be reassured that he will be given sufficient game time before allowing him to move on loan again.
