Cristiano Ronaldo is poised to make his return to Real Madrid action in the UEFA Super Cup against Manchester United this week.

The Portuguese star has been included in the Real squad for the game against his former club after returning from an extended summer break.

The 32-year-old heads to the sweltering heat of Skopje, Macedonia to take part in the annual clash between the Champions League and Euro League winners despite only just returning from a family holiday.

He has not played in any pre-season games so far and missed the clash between Real and United in the United States that finished in a 1-1 draw.

Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema, who have both been linked with moves away from Real this summer, have joined Ronaldo in the squad.

Indeed, Bale has reportedly told his Real Madrid teammates he wants to sign for United this summer.
