Henrikh Mkhitaryan: Is available again after injury

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has returned to Manchester United’s squad for the trip to FC Rostov in the Europa League, but there is no place for Wayne Rooney.

Jose Mourinho has named a 20-man squad for the game, but has also omitted Luke Shaw and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Shaw made a rare Premier League start under Mourinho for Saturday’s draw with Bournemouth but has not been considered for the testing trip to Russia. Mkhitaryan, however, is back after picking up an injury in the last-32 second leg clash against St Etienne.

The only other notable absentee is central defender Eric Bailly, who is suspended after his red card last time out against the French outfit.

United’s squad in full: De Gea, Romero, O’Hara; Valencia, Jones, Rojo, Smalling, Blind, Darmian, Young; Carrick, Herrera, Fellaini, Pogba, Mata, Lingard, Mkhitaryan; Martial, Rashford, Ibrahimovic.
