Ross County v St Mirren preview

Richard Brittain started for the U20s in their midweek draw with Rangers as he bids to come back from a hamstring injury.

Darren Barr (knee) remains on the sidelines.

St Mirren boss Gary Teale has no fresh injuries ahead of Saturday’s Dingwall trip.

Only midfielder John McGinn, who injured his thigh in a freak training ground incident last month, is missing for the Scottish Premiership’s bottom club.

The Buddies may already be relegated by the time they kick-off at the Global Energy Stadium if Motherwell can beat Kilmarnock on Friday night.

Ross County manager Jim McIntyre has warned his players not to take St Mirren lightly.

McIntyre said: “It’s all about us. It’s so important we try and secure our own future. We know it will be tough, St Mirren had a great result against Kilmarnock two weeks ago.

“They have good players in their side who showed that day they are capable of producing.

“Having just played them as well not long ago, they will be smarting from that result and want to come up here and make sure they put a spanner in the works for ourselves.”
