Saints too good for~10-man Norwich

David McGoldrick doubled Saints’ lead from the penalty spot in the second half, after Dejan Stefanovic was dismissed for a foul on Adam Lallana, and the home side could easily have won by more after dominating proceedings in the final half-hour.

Norwich started well and Antoine Sibierski hit the post before Robertson opend the scoring.

The 20-year-old, who joined Saints as part of the deal which saw Nathan Dyer move to Sheffield United, found himself in space and lashed a 25-yard shot beyond David Marshall.

Saints doubled their lead from the penalty spot when Lallana was cynically brought down by Stefanovic, who was sent-off as a result and McGoldrick (63) netted from the spot.
