Sanchez appears to kiss Arsenal badge during training session

Video footage has emerged from an open Arsenal training session that appears to show Alexis Sanchez kissing the club’s crest.

The training workout was held in front of approximately 5,000 fans with Sanchez heading out onto the pitch with Mesut Ozil.

Sanchez seems to share a laugh and a joke with the Germany international before putting his lips to the Gunners badge and fist pumping his chest.

The Chilean returned to training with Arsene Wenger’s side this week as he looks to get up to fitness ahead of Sunday’s Community Shield final against Chelsea.

There has been much speculation about Sanchez – who only has a year left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium – with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain both reportedly interested in the forward.

Sanchez has recently turned down a contract offer of £300,000-a-week, according to reports, that would have made him the Gunners best paid player, however Champions League football is understood to be a priority for the 28-year-old.

Wenger, speaking on Thursday, has completely ruled out Sanchez leaving for another club and insists the striker “will accept” his decision.

“He is focused,” Wenger said. “My decision is clear, he will stay. He will accept that.

“The frame of mind of a footballer is quite easy – once you go out into the game, you focus on that.

“(He is) good, you can see it in training. He needs to work on his fitness but he is sharp and looks like he has never been away.

“I think he will be here for this season. If we manage to do it for more seasons we will.”
