Jadon Sancho has been spotted at a house party in the UK as talk of a move to Manchester United accelerates.

Sancho is a top target for United this summer, as the club seek to bring him back to England. The winger left Manchester City three years ago, without making a senior appearance, to further his career in Germany.

His move to Borussia Dortmund certainly paid off. Across three seasons there, he has amassed 30 goals and 34 assists in the league.

Now, though, he is looking to return to his home country. And United have made a move for Sancho their top priority.

While the Red Devils have been struggling to meet Dortmund’s €120m asking price – a fee that would be a record for a British player – they are optimistic that they can find an agreement.

However, Dortmund are trying to tempt Sancho into signing a new contract in Germany. The Bundesliga runners up are willing to offer him a pay-rise to extend his deal beyond its present expiry date of 2022.

But Sancho may have his heart set on a return to England. Widespread reports have noted that the 20-year-old was at a house party hosted by rap duo Krept and Konan, who both support Man Utd, in the UK on Saturday night.

The fact that Sancho was in his home country just days before Dortmund’s pre-season commences has raised a few eyebrows. The Bundesliga club have their first summer friendly on Wednesday.

Various sources note that Dortmund have set a deadline of 10th August to complete any deal for Sancho. Therefore, United face a race against time to conclude their offer, having already reached an agreement with Sancho over personal terms.

In fact, the former Man City youngster has joined a WhatsApp group with some of his potential new teammates, according to transfer expert Ian McGarry. Sancho already plays with Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford at international level with England, and is now in contact with more members of the United squad.

And that leads Duncan Castles to write in the Sunday Times that “United are close to concluding a deal” for Sancho. Castles notes that United have been the sole suitor in the race for Sancho, despite it previously being expected that many clubs would be vying for him.

Now, the only obstacle remaining for United seems to be agreeing a price with Dortmund.
