Maurizio Sarri is keen to be reunited with Emerson Palmieri at Juventus, despite the Chelsea defender saying he didn’t want to make the move in the summer.
Emerson has established himself as first-choice left-back ahead of Marcos Alonso at Stamford Bridge, following on from his positive form towards the end of Sarri’s sole season in charge.
And with Alex Sandro the only recognised senior left-back at Sarri’s disposal at Juventus, the Express claim that the 60-year-old will try to take Emerson back to Italy.
Chelsea are unlikely to sanction the move, however, given that Frank Lampard has shown a similar faith in Emerson since his appointment, with a new long-term contract reportedly being readied for the former Roma full-back.
Besides, Brazil-born Emerson told ESPN Brasil in the summer: “Me at Juve with Sarri? I am happy here, I have not received any calls and I am focused on Chelsea.”
