Three Premier League clubs have been tipped to make a move for Demarai Gray when he becomes a free agent at the end of the season.
Gray is in the final six months of his contract with Leicester, where he has fallen down the pecking order. He has only played for 18 minutes in the Premier League this season.
Given his lack of action, it is unlikely he will renew his stay at the King Power Stadium. That means a number of clubs could fight for the former England under-21 international.
Tottenham have been heavily linked with the winger, for example. However, they are not alone in their interest.
It recently emerged that Southampton are also keen, and this has now been backed up by more sources.
There is also interest in Gray from abroad. According to France Football, Marseille are interested in the 24-year-old.
The Ligue 1 club are also about to lose a winger as a free agent. Florian Thauvin is approaching the end of his deal at the Stade Velodrome.
Therefore, they have reportedly lined up Gray as a potential replacement. But they will have to battle Portuguese outfit Benfica for his signature.
Two more Prem clubs want Gray
In addition to Tottenham, there are two more Premier League clubs who could swoop for Gray.
An anonymous Premier League scout has told Le Phoceen (via Sport Witness) that Everton and Southampton are also expected to make offers.
The scout said: “He is a very good player who keeps an excellent rating in England.
“He is still one of the very good wingers of his generation, even if his contractual situation at Leicester means that he is being ruled out by Rodgers and the managers.
“He is very quick and skilful at knocking out his opponent in the middle of the race, as well as against goalies with a tendency to open his foot to find the opposing side of the net.
“There will surely be competition, as I think good English clubs will move, like Everton, Tottenham or Southampton.”
