Sead Kolasinac TEAMtalk

Sead Kolasinac has spoken for the first time about the incident which saw himself and Mesut Ozil the victims of an attempted car-jacking over the summer.

Kolasinac fought off two men wielding knives after he and team-mate Ozil were attacked in north London on Thursday, July 25.

In a video of the incident that has been circulated on social media, Kolasinac was seen jumping out of a vehicle to confront the masked aggressors, who had pulled alongside the car on mopeds.

In the footage, both men were seen to be armed and were filmed brandishing knives at Kolasinac.

Kolasinac, who was unhurt, has talked about the incident and admitted it was tough to deal with but is now keen to move on.

“About what happened I don’t want to talk about it in details,” Kolasinac said.

“It’s happened and it’s something that belongs to the past. The same with Mesut. We are back and we focus on our job and team. We have a very important match ahead here in Frankfurt.

“Well of course I’m happy to be back. Of course mentally this was hard, missing also training for a couple of days.

“I made up for it. I’m back and happy to be back with the team and able to perform with them on the pitch with the team.”
