Man City legend Sergio Aguero is itching to reignite his playing career and revealed he’s already turned down one potentially lucrative option in America.
The Argentine, 33, was forced to call time on his glittering career in December. Aguero had moved to Barcelona in the summer of 2021, but played only five matches before suffering chest discomfort and shortness of breath in a LaLiga match against Alaves.
Aguero was taken to hospital for extensive tests and was diagnosed with the heart condition cardiac arrhythmia.
He remained sidelined until announcing his retirement from the sport in December.
That brought to an end a trophy-laden career which saw him become an all-time great at Man City.
Sergio Aguero plundered a whopping 260 goals for the Cityzens to become the leading scorer in the club’s history.
He also notched 41 goals for Argentina to lock up third spot in their all-time scoring charts behind just Lionel Messi and Gabriel Batistuta.
However, when speaking to TYC Sports, Aguero recently sparked hope his playing days might not be over.
“I already want to train again” – Aguero
The 33-year-old revealed he’s itching to train again and has already received a call from David Beckham’s Inter Miami.
However, Aguero admitted he is following doctor’s order for now and any return won’t come in 2022.
“Yesterday, it crossed my mind that I could play again,” said Aguero via the Manchester Evening News.
“Inter Miami called me but I refused.
“In two years? Let’s see. The doctors told me that I have to spend five or six months without activity, but I already want to train again.”
