A Tottenham summer signing is reportedly pushing to leave the club at the end of the season, with his next club already lined-up.
According to Spanish publication El Gol Digital, Sergio Reguilon wants to quit Spurs after just one season and head back to LaLiga.
The Spain international has been one of Jose Mourinho’s better performers in an inconsistent season for Tottenham.
Real Madrid have a buy-back option on the 24-year-old that is active until the summer of 2022, while some reports are suggesting that the LaLiga giants could activate it this summer.
However, El Gol Digitial now states that Reguilon is more likely to head to Sevilla, where he excelled on loan last season.
The report claims that last season’s Europa League winners will try and sign the Spurs man. However, that is only if they miss out of Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso first.
The Spanish outlet writes that Reguilon “has fallen into a unstable project” at Tottenham. That is clearly referring to doubts surrounding the future of boss Mourinho.
A recent report even suggested that Everton were lining up an unlikely move for the attacking left-back.
At this stage, it appears unlikely that Daniel Levy would look to cash in on one of his better players. But if Reguilon pushes for an exit his hands may be tied.
Tottenham face rivals for Serie A hitman
Italian giants AC Milan have reportedly joined Tottenham in the race to sign Fiorentina frontman Dusan Vlahovic this summer.
The 21-year-old frontman has attracted plenty of attention this season after emerging as La Viola’s first choice No.9.
Vlahovic, who joined from Partizan Belgrade as a teenager in 2018, has notched 12 goals in 27 Serie A games this term.
Tottenham are expected to be in the market for a new centre-forward this summer.
Serious doubts are beginning to emerge that Harry Kane may finally be looking to move on, while Carlos Vinicius is only on loan.
At this stage it remains to be seen if Spurs are willing to turn Vinicius’ deal into a permanent one. That would potentially cost them the best part of £36million for a player who has scored 10 times this season.
There have been varied reports over a potential transfer. However, it would appear that Tottenham are leaning towards not doing a deal.
Signing Serbian star Vlahovic could also prove problematic, however, particularly now that Milan are keen.
The likes of Borussia Dortmund and West Ham have also been credited with an interest in the player.
