Juventus vice-chairman Pavel Nedved has reportedly been asked by head coach Maurizio Sarri to begin work on a £70m deal to lure N’Golo Kante away from Chelsea.

Kante, who won the PFA Player of the Year award with Leicester in the 2016/17 season, has continued to impress at the heart of Chelsea‘s midfield since moving to West London.

The Frenchman worked with Sarri during the Italian’s one-year stay at Stamford Bridge last term and, according to the Daily Mail, Sarri was impressed by the World Cup winner and wants to reunite with his former player in Turin.

The newspaper adds that Sarri believes that adding Kante to a team containing the likes of Miralem Pjanic and Aaron Ramsey would see him form the best midfield in Europe, with a deal for Kante available to be done for around £70m.

Kante has made 146 appearances for Chelsea so far, scoring nine goals and assisting seven others.

In other Chelsea news, the club are reportedly interested in agreeing a deal for an 18-year-old French starlet, a move that could go through next summer.
