Roma tracking Celtic hotshot as Chelsea close in on Dzeko

Celtic striker Moussa Dembele is reportedly attracting the interest of Serie A giants Roma.

The Italian outfit look set to lose star frontman Edin Dzeko to Chelsea and are weighing-up alternatives, with the Bhoys star said to be a potential option.

The £20m-rated former Fulham star’s future at Celtic Park had been in doubt since the summer, and with Brendan Rodgers leaving the 21-year-old on the bench for the last two games that speculation has only intensified.

Scottish Sun sources in the Italian capital claim that Dembele is a realistic target to replace Dzeko – with Roma sporting director Monchi understood to be a big admirer of the player.

Indeed Monchi tried to sign Dembele during his time at Sevilla and it is claimed that unnamed agents have contacted the Roma supremo to offer the player’s services.

Dembele, who has scored an impressive 40 goals in 70 appearances for Celtic, is also a target for Premier League trio Crystal Palace, Everton and Stoke.
