Sheffield Wednesday striker Ryan Lowe will return to contention.

Lowe, a summer signing from Bury, has made only two substitute appearances for the Owls due to an ankle problem, but could be included in Gary Megson’s squad.

Megson has no new injury or suspension problems as his side look to extend their unbeaten league run to six matches.

Midfielder David Prutton returned as an unused substitute last week after missing the previous three games with a thigh strain and will be hoping to play some part.

Winger Jermaine Johnson is also pushing for a recall to the starting line-up after appearing after half-time in last week’s Steel City draw, but defenders Jon Otsemobor (calf), Daniel Jones (ankle) and goalkeeper Nicky Weaver (knee) remain long-term absentees.

The Owls could go top of the table with victory if other results go their way.

Jones, signed on loan until the end of the season from Scunthorpe two weeks ago, banged his head while scoring for the Owls in their 3-1 midweek defeat to Brentford.

Jones was forced off shortly after and taken to hospital but has not been ruled out this weekend and manager Gary Megson is prepared to give him until the last possible moment before making his decision.

Should Jones fail to make it his replacement on Tuesday night, Jon Otsemobor, could continue, while Michael Morrison provides Megson with an alternative option.

Megson, who has no other new injury or suspension worries, is also waiting on the availability of midfielder Giles Coke, who has missed the last two games due to tonsilitis.

Baldwin is still some way from a return to action due to an Achilles problem and Okuonghae is out for the season following ankle surgery.
