Shock news from Juventus as they announce exit of coach Allegri

Juventus have announced that Massimiliano Allegri will not be their manager heading into the 2019-20 season.

Allegri was with the Serie A giants for five seasons where he amassed five consecutive league titles and two Champions League final appearances.

Reports have suggested a number of meetings took place between the Italian and the Juve board to clarify plans for the future, but it seems their ideas are not compatible.

A statement on the club’s website reads: “Massimiliano Allegri will not sit on the Juventus bench in the 2019/2020 season.

“The coach and the president, Andrea Agnelli, will meet the media together at the press conference, which will be held tomorrow, Saturday 18 May, at 2 pm in the conference hall of the Allianz Stadium.”
