Solskjaer furious with Lukaku after he tweeted confidential Man Utd data
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was left furious and reportedly lambasted Romelu Lukaku during the final days of his stay at Manchester United.
The Belgium striker finally completed a £74m move to Inter Milan on deadline day, ending his two years at Old Trafford and from what The Times have reported he will not be missed.
Lukaku was pushed down the pecking order in December after the arrival of Solskajer and the forward made only 10 Premier League starts for the Norwegian, while being left out of the squad for the last two games of the season.
The writing was on the wall for the 26-year-old then, but his reluctance to feature in pre-season for United reportedly irked United’s staff, and a tweet the player sent in pre-season riled Solskjaer so much that he launched a ‘brutal’ attack on the player.
Lukaku posted confidential training data onto his official Twitter page before immediately removing it. Lukaku was hitting back at his critics showing that was at the top of the charts for ‘top speed’ during a training session on the club’s pre-season tour.
However, the data also showed that Luke Shaw had come bottom and it led to Shaw replying to Lukaku on Twitter as well as facing a social media onslaught.
It left Solskajer fuming and The Times claim the United boss gave Lukaku a severe dressing down in what was probably the final straw for Solskajer.
The article says “Lukaku moped around the team hotel for much of United’s tour” and United’s staff were “furious that he would approach them at the end of training sessions with an apparent injury”.
They only wanted me to go 70% don’t let me start speaking on you boy 👀😰

Former United captain Gary Neville tweeted: “His unprofessionalism is contagious.”
In fact Lukaku spent the last two days of his time at United in Belgium training with Anderlecht, the last day of which he was AWOL.
