Sources: Man Utd, Liverpool keeping keen eye on dazzling attacker ready to follow in father’s footsteps
Hamilton Academical teenage starlet Ryan One is being chased by the Premier League’s elite, TEAMtalk understands.
The 16-year-old forward is already a big part of Hamilton’s first-team squad, having played over a dozen games in the Scottish Championship. The Accies suffered relegation to the third tier at the end of this season, though.
Now, TEAMtalk can reveal that a host of clubs are chasing One’s signature, having been watching him for most of this season. He made a total of 28 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals.
One, the son of former Cambridge United striker Armand One, is a winger or a forward and now looks destined to move south of the border and follow in his father’s footsteps by playing in England.
Armand One once spent time on trial with Manchester United, and they are one of the clubs checking on his son, along with the likes of Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle United, Brighton and Hove Albion, Brentford, and Bournemouth.
One also had Old Firm giants Celtic and Rangers keeping tabs on him, but the chance of moving to the Premier League will be hard for him to turn down.
The attacker has already been capped by Scotland at under-17 level and has a bright future ahead of him.
He would of course find it harder to make an impact at senior level at some of the clubs that are looking at him. However, they are all planning for the future and could develop One within their own setups.
In the long term, he might become a player capable of competing at a higher level if everything goes to plan.
