Spartak reveal contract details of Liverpool target
Spartak Moscow star Quincy Promes, who has been linked with Liverpool, does have a release clause in his contract.
The forward has been mentioned as a possible target for Liverpool with reports this week suggesting the Russian club have after already signed his replacement and will allow the 24-year-old to leave in January.
And Spartak general manager Sergei Rodionov has confirmed Promes does have a buyout in his contract, which expires in 2021.
“He has a set transfer sum in his contract. I am not going to say what the amount is,” said Rondionov.
Promes, who is rated in the £25million bracket, has appeared in 17 games for Spartak Moscow this term, scoring six times and providing his team-mates with seven assists.
Rondionov also dismissed the transfer talk regarding Promes as “rumours” and admitted that there was no firm offer on the table for the player.
“It is only rumours. We have not received an offer from any club,” he told Dutch daily the Algemeen Dagblad
Arsenal and Tottenham are also believed to have registered an interest in the player.
