Spurs open to Stambouli offers
Reports in French newspaper L’Equipe claimed Marseille had made an offer to Tottenham to sign the Frenchman but Sky Sports understands that, although the Ligue 1 club are interested in Stambouli, there has been no formal offer.
Stambouli, 24, signed for Spurs last summer from Montpellier for around £4m but has struggled to break into the first-team, making just four Premier League starts.
Spurs opted to sign the former France Under-21 international instead of Alex Song on loan from Barcelona, who instead joined West Ham for the season.
Meanwhile, Sky sources also understand Spurs are not interested in the out-of-contract Marseille forward Andre Ayew, as had also been reported in France.
The Ghana international forward, 25, is believed to desire a move to the Premier League this summer and also has interest from Italy.
