Spurs are leading the race to sign Real Madrid outcast Dani Ceballos this summer, according to reports in Spain.
Real boss Zinedine Zidane is already planning for a big summer revamp at the Bernabeu having taken back the reigns following Santiago Solari’s sacking in March.
The midfielder arrived at the Bernabeu in a €16m deal from Real Betis, though he has struggled for opportunities under Zidane and is expected to leave this summer.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly been monitoring Ceballos for some time, while the player himself admitted that he tried to rejoin old club Real Betis back in January.
Spanish outlet El Desmarque now claim that Spurs have now joined the hunt for Ceballos and are heading the chase – though interest from elsewhere is mentioned.
The north London club are apparently willing to spend up to €50million (£44million) on the 22-year-old as Mauricio Pochettino eyes midfield cover.
Spurs’ rivals West Ham have also been credited with interest in Ceballos, who is described as unsettled.
